Wylio Image Search
Tips & Advice
Wylio is an image search engine you can use to find and embed (with adequate attribution!!) a ton of Creative Commons licensed images.
To use Wylio:
First go to
and search for an appropriate image.
Once you've found an image, you have to decide what size and alignment you want to use.
Then you copy the html code (Ctrl-C).
Go to your wiki, click
and place your cursor where you want the image to go.
Click on the
button on the toolbar and select "
Paste the html code into the box (Ctrl-V) and press OK.
You've just embedded the image with proper attribution!
Here's an example: I did a Boolean search for [ Anne+Frank ] (without the brackets), and I selected the third image I found. I specified that it should be centered and I dragged the size bar to the left until the image was about the size I wanted. Then I clicked on the
Get the Code
button. From there, I just clicked in the textbox and copied the html code. Piece of cake!
